We study Milner's encoding of the call-by-value λ-calculus into π-calculus. show that, by tuning to two subcalculi π-calculus (Internal π and Asynchronous Local π), equivalence on λ-terms induced coincides with Lassen's eager normal-form bisimilarity, extended handle η-equality.
